RE: [tor-udrp] UDRP Task Force

Dear Madam Chicoine,

Here are the two bios.

(1) Representative for eResolution: Dr. Joelle Thibault:

Joëlle Thibault obtained a Law Degree from the University of Ottawa and has
been a Canadian barrister since 1989. She received a Diploma in
International Commercial Law in 1993 (specialized in national and
international arbitration) and a Doctorate of Law in 1998 (thesis:
Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures in Canada), both from the
University of Paris II. She worked with the International Court of the
International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (ICC) and with several
arbitrators in Paris and London. She also worked as a legal counsel
representing clients in negotiations of commercial transactions and
intellectual property agreements in Canada, United States and Europe. Since
1994, she has been working as a dispute resolution specialist providing
mediation, arbitration and training services, as well as designing dispute
resolution processes for private and public organizations. She is the
author of the textbook « Les procédures de règlement amiable des litiges au

Law (Oxford University Press, 1989), as well as many articles. During the
last ten years, he has been involved in many projects involving the
application of technology to law and legal processes.

Since 1996, he has been involved in a series of projects involving online

1997, with support from the Hewlett Foundation, he established the Center

disputes online, involving domain name/trademark issues, intellectual
property conflicts, disputes with Internet Service Providers, and others.
In the Spring of 1999, he supervised a project with the online auction site
eBay, in which over 150 disputes were mediated during a two week period.
Also in 1999, he served as a member of ICANN's Independent Review Advisory
Committee. Most recently, he has begun a project funded by the Markle
Foundation to explore more accessible methods of publishing UDRP decisions
