RE: [registrars] UDRP Task Force

Mike:
Are you asking about the Verification Request or commencement notice?
Either way, we want to receive both. Without the verification, we would not
place the domain name on Registrar lock. There are also additional questions
to answer besides supplying the whois. The notice provides complainant
contact information which may be needed for updating a domain name when the
complainant wins.

One suggestion I would like to make is to require the updated Registrant
information to be included as part of the decision for cases that are
awarded to the complainant.

Donna.

Subject: [registrars] UDRP Task Force

DO registrars have any input on the UDRP process. I know there have been
some comments that UDRP Providers should just obtain the information from
the Thick Registry Whois databases instead of contacting registrars
individuals.

Is this a good or bad idea? Do registrars like getting notice of filed UDRP
proceeding or would they prefer just to get a ruling to implement?

Any other comments or suggestions?

Mike
