RE: [registrars] Budgetary Considerations ICANN 2.0

Technically, the answer to that question is a Yes, there is just not a lot
of work to do at this time of year.

In essence, there is always a budget (and finance) committee. Each year,
the constituencies that need to be involved in it are asked to re-affirm
existing or appoint new members to it. That should happen for the upcoming
year almost any time now (I think last year it happened in August). Stuart
will be in touch with Mike to request our appointed reps.

The budget process takes about 6-8 months, typically ending with the
approval of the budget sometime before the end of June.

It is the budget process, as well as the fee increases agreed to last year,
as well as the proposed fee increases for the restructuring that I am happy
to discuss on the call (as all were discussed at length by the committee
last year). Brian is also a member of this committee representing our
constituency and I am sure he would be happy to comment as well.

Rob.

Is there still a budget committee standing?

During this week's constituency call the topic will be ICANN 2.0 and the
likely budgetary impact on registrar fees.

The call is scheduled for this Thursday 5PM EDT.

The first part of the call will be formalizing an agenda for Amsterdam.
