[registrars] expiry date and creation date dont match

hi,

can anyone tell me when would something like this happen -

   DOMAIN: kinminks.com
   Record last updated on 25-Mar-2002.
   Record expires on 04-Sep-2002.
   Record created on 25-Mar-2002.

note that the record is created on 25-Mar-2002, but expires on
4th-Sep-2002 - which is less than a year

Additoinal info:

* the domain is currently regstered with netsol

* the domain was earlier with namezero
