RE: [nc-budget] Fw: Secretariar Search

It sounds to me like we are on the same page.

Agreed.  However, while the Budget committee is addressing issues rlating to the legal structure, I think the search committee must progress on the following:
(1) review the material developed so far for completeness and suitability for posting on the web; (ii) develop a web site for reference by potential providers - (iii) Schedule the Search process.
The final stage - Implementation of the search process (selection and appointment) may be delayed pending finalisation of the legal structure, but  I think we can complete the earlier stages as outlined above.

I certainly agree on the need to get moving on the search process, but it is equally important that we in parallel finalize the issue with regard to legal structure so that we can start the fund raising efforts.

Below are emails I sent out in December in an effort to progress the work of the Search Committee.  I have not yet received any response and still need to clarify the membership of the search committee.
As members of the Budget committee will recall, much of the documentation required for the search process has been completed.  I think we need now to  (1) review the material developed so far for completeness and suitability for posting on the web; (ii) develop a web site for reference by potential providers - (iii) Schedule the Search process; and (iv) implement the Search process.

This matter is now needs to be progressed as a matter of urgency.  Once the membership of the search committee is clarified, I propose to schedule a meeting to deal with the issues outlined above.

Hi Elizabeth
I'm not sure whether you have been busy - or whether I emailed the message below to an outdated address.  So here it is again.

Merry Xmas and happy new year!

Hi Elizabeth,
I think the time is now approaching for us to get some of the preliminary work done for the Search Process.  As I see it, we need to (1) review the material developed so far for completeness and suitability for posting on the web; (ii) develop a web site for reference by potential providers - (iii) Schedule the Search process; and (iv) implement the Search process.
To this end, I suggest we arrange a teleconf of the Search Committee.
Who are the members of the Search Committee?

erica
