Choosing Mr Abril i Abril's strong experience, as ICANN Board incumbent, 
would certainly increase the DNSO's say within the Board ; especially as the 
continuation of previous ICANN tasks will remain at the foreground of its 
agenda, as far as DNS issues are concerned. Minimum continuity could help. 
If the DNSO needs greater visibility and influence on ICANN central 
discussions, then our nominee must display great knowledge of its 
informal/pragmatic rules. Unfortunately, it is difficult to assess Mr Abril 
i Abril's past achievements in his functions, for little or no judgements of 
other ICANN Board members have been provided for. Without genuine 
transparency, there is scarce accountability.
