[ga] REMINDER: ICANN-Santiago Remote Participation



A quick reminder of upcoming webcasts of the Santiago, Chile meetings of the
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers:

* The Domain Name Supporting Organization's General Assembly will hold a
meeting this afternoon starting at 2:00PM Chilean and US Eastern time,
7:00PM GMT. (**)  The Government Advisory Committee will hold a Public Forum
this evening starting at 7:30PM Eastern time, 12:30AM on August 25 GMT. (**)

* ICANN will hold its third Public Meeting tomorrow morning starting at
9:00AM Eastern time, 2:0PM GMT. (*) (**)

* The Board of Directors of ICANN will hold a public meeting on Thursday
starting at 8:30AM Eastern time, 1:30PM GMT.  (*)

* The Domain Name Supporting Organization's Names Council will hold a
meeting on Thursday afternoon starting at 2:00PM eastern time, 7:00PM GMT.

All meetings will be webcast in RealAudio and RealVideo; meetings marked
with (*) will also have simultaneous webcast translation into Spanish and
Portuguese.  Meetings marked with (**) will be available for remote
participation including question and comment submission and an online chat
system.

To join a webcast and participate remotely, go to the ICANN-Santiago Remote
Participation Site (<http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/icann/santiago/>) shortly
before the start of each meeting.  The site also has more information about
the meetings including a FAQ on remote participation, a schedule, an agenda,
and technical details.

Basic participation in the meeting requires a 14.4Kbps or faster connection
to the Internet and version 5.0 or later of the freely available RealMedia
player, which can be downloaded from RealNetworks at <http://www.real.com>.
Participation in the real-time chat requires either a JAVA-enabled browser
or an IRC client.
