RE: [ga] .aero

ROBERT

On your comment:

"Or, alternatively, we can say that registering names in .aero makes you "de
facto" an operator in the aviation business ;>)"

I beleive it certainly does not, but it might lead the public to beleive you
are, to their detriment and that of operators in aviation.

My opinion is that enacting new sector-specific gTLDS is of no use at all
unless checks and controls are set in place to prevent persons who are not
engaged in that sector (including registrars) from obtaining a domain in
such gTLDS. Look at the comments on the .int domain in the final report for
WIPO's Second Domain Name Process.

Cheers.

Atentamente, Regards

Sotiris,
Explanation is at http://nic.aero/registrars.php.
Most of the other Registrars are not in the aviation business either...
Or, alternatively, we can say that registering names in .aero makes you "de
facto" an operator in the aviation business ;>)
