People fail to realize that the basis of this document is what will drive
all aspects of Internet governence. People that support US centric goals
are actually trying to allow the ICANN entity to succeed. US citizens are
the US government and this will be true as it pertains to Internet
governence....it is the proven model that works (not some ideological dream
or "experiment"). In the end, it's global users will dictate its global
governence, with or without ICANN. It's the only thing today that we know
for sure. Hiding behind "geo-political issues swirling around ICANN"
(compromising the US centric White Paper) will only cause the "route
around" from the global community, the very thing US centric beliefs hope
to avoid - but not to mistake as mandatory.
