Is this in reference to Lewis Carol.  You mean to say here "`Just about as
much right,' said the Duchess, `as pigs have to fly; and the m--'", as per
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.  I assume that's the quote you wanted,
in which case it does not apply.  Or have you confused it with;

            "The time has come," the Walrus said,
              "To talk of many things:
            Of shoes -- and ships -- and sealing-wax --
              Of cabbages -- and kings --
            And why the sea is boiling hot --
              And whether pigs have wings."

.. the looking glass angle - which also holds no application or reference
to hats.
