BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 2002--Law Offices Of Charles J.
Piven, P.A. today announced that a securities class action has been
commenced on behalf of shareholders who acquired VeriSign, Inc.
(Nasdaq: VRSN - News) securities between January 25, 2001 and April
25, 2002, inclusive (the Class Period).

The case is pending in the United States District Court for the
Northern District of California, against defendants VeriSign and
certain of its officers and directors.

The action charges that defendants violated the federal securities
laws by engaging in conduct throughout the Class Period that had the
effect of artificially inflating the market price of the Company's
securities.
