Re: [ga] Re: Virus warnings on the GA list

Mr. Svenson, et al.

DOMAIN NAME SUPPORT ORGANIZATION

What don't you understand about the relevance of anti-virus matters to our existence.  Must I draw you a diagram.  This worm may well attach to NAMES and not numbers as in address books.  Do you understand that has to do with domain names.

Let me put it this way, Mr. Svenson is directly responsible for the suspension of the four most highly contributing members of this list.  This list is the only bottoms up contributors to the only governance body of the "authoritative" root.  In other word he has stifled over 50% of the bottoms up voice contributing to the internet.  Now he attacks one of the only contributing members of the existing core.  One has to wonder which books are on the list for burning for Alex.  By 50% of this list he effects, by USG statistics, over one third of the US economy.  World wide I have only a guess at over 20%.

The rules do not call for any formality to remove him as a List Monitor they only call for a vote.
"A list monitor may also be removed by a majority vote of the General Assembly."
http://www.dnso.org/dnso/notes/2000.GA-ga-rules.html

And so I would suggest that we vote to remove him.  We can open it tomorrow and close it next friday and count the majority  --  it is that simple.  "the rules must be followed after all"

We need no further debate the rules are clear, it does not require an act by the Secretariat or costs.   Let us just get this lynching over with and be done with the plague.

Sincerely,
Eric

Moreover, let's have this sleazy little weasel who is hiding
behind a cloak of anonymity with his complaint come
forward and face up to me and to the rest of the GA,
many of whom have invested great sums of money in
trying to stay in business in the face of viruses and the
like, with the grounds for his/her complaint.

"Irrelevant to the business of the GA?"  With enough
worm viruses running through the various lists, and the
many mailing lists that each of us have of others, there
would be no GA!

I've seen some asinine things in my life, but this takes
the cake.

Dear Bill,

even if virus warnings such as the one by you in
http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00070.html
are posted with the best intentions, we would like to
ask you to refrain from sending them in the future --
they are irrelevant to the business of the GA and
tend to divert attention. We have received a complaint
about your message.

Best regards,
/// Alexander (for the list monitors)
