[ga] AW: [ICANN-EU] Fwd: New Policy for Domain Names !!!!

Hi, all @Large members,

is it considered to get millions of $ for each TLD ? And who shall manage
and spend this money? Who will decide what to do with these many millions of
$$?? Who will control these who will decide??
Is there altogether ( planned ) an institution which can and shall control
these decisions ?
If this all will be discussed at the next yokohama forum or elsewhere, I
would be pleased if we as simple @Large members would hear something more
and more detailed of this and if our soon elected directors would demand an
efficient control of these huge revenues.
I would earnestly regret if I would come to know that I have got the
membership of a self service institution.
Most members, I see at the hundreds of mails, have really good intentions,
what do you think about these expectations ? Shouldn´t we have a voice in
this??

Best regards

Christian

Simon and Jeff,
I started a funny post on the ICANN pre-Yokohama forum about
the way new gTLD introduction would be handled by the market.
It was real time description with a few of the standard possibilibties:
tw shows, games and contests, press, legal actions, spermatozoid
race for "icecream.shop", etc... some may recall it. I finished it in
becaming more serious when understanding the iplication. I then
spent some time in evaluating the real money at stake for all the
people making/using new gTLD openings an event. The possible
amount is several millions of dollars. One must understand that
and be prepared for a few crooks.
