[council] NCUC Position on New gtlds
Harold,
Thank you for posting the position of the non-commercial
constituency on new gTLDs. As chairman I will not here speak for the Business
Constituency on the points of substance, though on first reading your paper it
seems that you maybe more in agreement with each other than you
suppose!
But I do want to point out that the GNSO gTLDs committee has
NOT adopted the position paper forwarded by the BC to Council. Indeed this
committee has not yet voted. We are in a discussion and
idea sharing phase to which you have just contributed. After that phase,
the committee we hope may reach a united or majority viewpoint.
