 Dear Council Members,

The nomination period for the position of Names Council Chair for the next
six month period opened on, 14 February, and closed at 24:00 UTC, 20
February.

The following nominations have been received:

1. Philip Sheppard
On behalf of IPC reps, Laurence Djolakian nominates Philip Sheppard.
Marilyn Cade, BC rep to the NC, seconds the nomination of Philip Sheppard as
NC chair.

2.Cary Karp
Richard Tindal nominates Cary Karp as NC Chair
Ken Stubbs seconds the nomination of Cary Karp as NC Chair
Vany Martinez seconds the nomination of Cary Karp as NC Chair

As proposed in the motion carried  in the Names Council teleconference, 14
February, the current Names Council Chair has called for a teleconference on
Thursday 28 February  for a formal vote by the NC.
