[council] Board election

The current timetable for the election to the board
is
1. Nominations/acceptances close 7 August.
2. Endorsements = 3 weeks:
Start: Tuesday 07 August 2001 at 16:00 UTC (18:00 Paris) End: Tuesday 28 August 2001 at 16:00 UTC (18:00 Paris) (3
weeks).
3. Vote by the NC = 4 days. 4. Results to ICANN by 16 September. Options
The question arises therefore if we should have the actual
election the four days following the 28 August (ie Wed 29 - Sat 1 Sep) or vote
during the first Montevideo week (w/c 3 September or the second Montevideo week
(w/c 10 September).
Proposal
Given that people will be either travelling to or from
Montevideo and that the election may distract the business of the NC during
Montevideo, I propose we hold the election Wed 29 - Sat 1 Sep). (In reality
it is unlikely we will need more than two days but we need to schedule
four).
I will make this proposal at the Aug 16th meeting but wanted
to post it now to give all candidates sufficient notice of this
timetable.
