Re: [council] What was that about an "authoritative" root?

milton...

the comments you make here about new.net subscribers etc.. need to be
closely analyzed.

some of the partners new.net is claiming to have "in the fold" need a very
close "looking in to"...

example ... according to my reading of the SEC 10-k, juno online lost in
excess of $125 million FYE 12/31/2000 and has a billable subscriber base as
of 12/31 of less than 850,000 users.

they (i.e. juno) have shown a consistant loss starting in 1996 of $23
million and escalating to a $131 million loss in the year 2000.

PRODIGY ONLINE, Inc. their newest ISP partner lost in excess of $200
million fye 12/31/2000 and over $145 million in the 2 years preceeding.

although SBC has acquired 43% of the company, i find no guarantees in the
prodigy online SEC 10-k filings to guarantee that SBC will continue to
subsidise them in the future

i certainly don't consider any of these "numbers" you quote here as
"authoritative" much less "strong"....

representations like this about future "users" are just that...
REPRESENTATIONS
