The last open NC meeting in LA suffered from the table layout. The NC was on the stage in a "last supper" format. This gives the audience a great view but made it difficult for the chair to see who wanted to speak and separated NC members (rather than bringing us all together!!).

Open meetings are fine but should not be at the expense of good communication.

Could you ask the hotel people in Cairo to look at a U-shaped stage set up for the NC meeting?
