Re: [council] Nomination / Voting procedures - DNSO ICANNBoardmember

Fellow pNC members,

I believe Javier's motion is an excellent start. I do not believe
it is constructive to dismiss his proposal and to leave
this extremely critical point up to a committee, or sub-committee
or mini-sub-working group that has not come up with another
proposal. I do not mean any disrespect here to any of the
members of this group, but if there is an alternative I think it
would be beneficial to put whatever work in progress has been
accomplished on the list, and let us all discuss it.

There is not enough time to have a perfect mechanism, and I think
we should meet the ICANN goal of having DNSO elected ICANN board
members in place by the LA meeting. I don't think we should just
"try" to do this, we must.

Best regards,
Richard

PS - lots of mail over the weekend, was the weather bad? :-)
